Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh’s (RCSEd’s) quarterly membership newsletter

Please see the link below to the new December issue of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh’s (RCSEd’s) quarterly membership newsletter, Surgeons’ News (pp14-15) which has just been published – you’ll see the familiar faces of five Scottish-based optometrists in the MSc graduation photo (Steve Whittaker, David Cummins, Lyndsay Brown, Rebecca Daly, Stuart McConnachie – all part-sponsored by NES Optometry through their MSc in Primary Care Ophthalmology studies).  The newsletter is open access. There should also be free print copies at RCSEd’s reception desk in Edinburgh. Copies go to the 20,000 international membership of the RCSEd, I believe.

Also, congratulations are due to Steve Whittaker on being awarded The College of Optometrists Philip Cole Award for practice-based research excellence for his Masters project on IP in optometry on Tuesday 14 November in the College’s diploma ceremony.

Lyndsay Brown at this very moment is attending the RCSEd in preparation for her award ceremony in which the RCSEd will confer our inaugural Sir David Brewster Medal in Primary Care Ophthalmology.  So, congratulations to Lyndsay too.
